Recording the Collegeville Dropouts

Students at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University have recorded their voices since at least the 1950s, making LPs of opera performances, choral concerts, and jazz ensembles.   Students also gained experience producing music programs with the development of the campus radio station in 1925, and the start of KJNB in 1966.    By the 1990s, as recording options became more accessible, students began their own record label, Campus Groove Recordings.   And in the 21st century, students grew their recording services with Johnnie Bennie Media music videos.
