Description
Tonic Sol-fa performed many times at SJU starting in March 1994, when they played Brother Willie’s Pub. They returned again in the fall to play at the Millstream Arts Festival on September 25th. They returned for the Millstream Arts Festival the following year as well. Additionally, in 1995, they were nominated for two national awards, “Campus Entertainers of the Year” and “Contemporary Artist of the Year,” by The National Association of Campus Activities (NACA).
Tonic Sol-fa came back to play on March 20, 1999. At this concert, they had a contest between three audience members and the winner got a solo in the song, “In the Still of the Night.” At this point in their career, they were performing over 250 shows a year in 32 states. They were also voted one of the top five “Entertainers of the Year” two years in a row by NACA and have sung at corporate events for clients such as Buick, 3M, Super 8, Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, and Nestles.
