St. John's Univ. Digby Postcard

The 1907 leather postcard seen earlier in this exhibit would be considered a novelty postcard because it is not made of paper.

This Digby Postcard, circa 1908, is also a novelty card. It is an appliqué postcard, with two layers of felt attached, in St. John's school colors, cardinal and blue.

Digby Postcards were produced by Annin & Co., New York. The company advertised that since they were a flag manufacturer, they could guarantee that the school colors on the postcards would be "absolutely correct."
