Endowed professorships provide a way of recognizing exceptional educators who demonstrate extraordinary service both in and out of the classroom. The Edward L. Henry Professorship, one of two endowed professorships at CSB/SJU, was established in 2007 after a generous alumni gift from SJU class of 1970 graduate Dan Whalen. It recognizes Ed’s significance for Catholic colleges, his service work, and his lifetime of exemplary academic achievements. The Ed Henry Professorship is currently held by Dr. Matthew J. Lindstrom, Professor of Political Science at SJU and Director of the McCarthy Center for Civic Engagement.
